WELCOME TO MAMA AND MISS

Welcoming the littlest hands to have the biggest fun!

Welcome to our wonderful world – it's colourful, sprinkle coated and it’s a new zone I’m exploring, with the help of my little baking buddy, Sway! I wanted to show all the mammas out there some fun recipes to get the kids involved in and how not to pull your hair out while doing so, ha!

Difficulty: Easy!

Parties aside though, sometimes there is nothing better than sitting down after a long day (or a long morning for us mums!) and enjoying something totally decadent, filled with totally necessary calories and a cup of strong coffee. And, as you might be able to see, I couldn’t even wait for mine to set before I dived right in… I blame my dessert addiction...

Some of the fondest memories I have when I was little was watching my Nanna bake scones, sneaking extra cookie dough from my mums mixing bowl, and just devouring the treats that childhood brings. It was from these memories that I wanted to encourage mamas out there to get their little ones involved! I have been baking with Sway since she could sit on the bench in a ‘bumbo’ and now, having cultivated a love for baking with her, she is the one to ask me to bake on the daily!

Baking with little ones can be fun, completely messy and so rewarding. It’s something I do at least twice a week, creating not only food but the most beautiful memories. With so many lovely comments from you guys about what Sway likes to bake, what I like to create with her and some ‘kid friendly’ kitchen recipes, I couldn’t resist getting started as soon as I could!

We will definitely be exploring delicious AND nutritious recipes to keep health at the forefront, but I believe getting kids excited to be in the kitchen (especially in the beginning) is all about doing bright, fun and colourful experimenting! We will be creating everything from things you can gift to others, recipes that are special and unique that don’t require too many ingredients and, of course, quick and simple things that don’t require too much time - keeping them interested and keeping you sane!

So, mamas, pull their stool up to the counter, grab out some mixing bowls and spoons, and let’s begin this series of making memories together with delicious recipes that get our little ones into the kitchen!
