BRILLIANT BASIC CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
A one bowl wonder

If you are the proud owner of a wooden spoon and a large bowl, you are now a magician.
You now have the power to create these gooey on the inside, crunchy cased, bite sized chunks of bliss! (try saying that 3 times fast! )
I believe everyone has to have a 'go to', basic brownie recipe in their baking bible, and although I have about five, this is the most versatile and easiest one of the bunch! It’s a super simple, one-bowl wonder, with no unnecessary fuss!

So easy in fact, I encourage Sway to do these ones practically unassisted…I just get everything ready and let her go for it!
I know, dangerous right? I didn't say this couldn't also be a messy recipe, but all that aside, it definitely gets my ‘Mums’ tick of approval!
Oh, and the Dad's tick of 'I can eat them all'!
Difficulty: Easy!
Parties aside though, sometimes there is nothing better than sitting down after a long day (or a long morning for us mums!) and enjoying something totally decadent, filled with totally necessary calories and a cup of strong coffee. And, as you might be able to see, I couldn’t even wait for mine to set before I dived right in… I blame my dessert addiction...

I love to use this brownie as a base for making all kinds of incredible desserts. Like theses Chocolate, Salted Caramel Swirled, Choc Studded, Strawberry ones pictured above.
Or these Cherry Ripe Brownie Delights, below! You can click here for that recipe!

They are a great starting point for almost any brownie dream you can conjure up…
Simply stir through whatever mix-ins you like! From nuts to candy bars, layer it with all kinds of wonderful things and top it with your favourite chocolate fudge, caramel sauce and of course, ice cream!
So, what are you waiting for? Grab that magic equipment and dive in!

Gather The Following...
Now, Lets Begin!
Begin by preheating your oven to 180°C and line a brownie/slice tin with baking paper, set aside.
In a large bowl whisk together the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla until thoroughly combined. Sift the remaining dry ingredients into the wet mixture, and fold until silky and smooth.
Pour the batter, into the prepared tin and pop it in the oven to bake for 25-30 mins.
That’s honestly all there is too it! Once the brownies are cooked, remove them from the oven and cool in the tin, on a wire rack.
It’s that easy! Enjoy!
¾ cup Vegetable Oil
1 ½ cups White Sugar
3 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
¾ cup Plain Flour, sifted
½ cup Cocoa, sifted
1/3 tsp Baking Powder
A pinch of Sea-Salt
